DR. LILIAN KURYS-ROMER
ASSOCIATE EQUINE VETERINARIAN
Lilian grew up in the veterinary clinic, sitting on the cattle yard rail watching her father at work. With a love for all animals it was obvious from a very young age she would follow in her father's footsteps.

Lili completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University. During her studies, she received the Vice Chancellor's Award for Academic Excellence, the Equine Veterinary Association Prize, the Jim and Pam McGregor Bovine Award, as well as recognition for her DVM research project investigating equine hoof angles.
Lili then completed a rotating Internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery honing her skills in medicine, neonatal intensive care, anaesthesia, stud medicine, reproduction, lameness, rehabilitation and surgery under the mentorship of boarded specialists at Ascot Equine Veterinarians. She liked it so much she stayed on as an Associate Equine Veterinarian. Lili has a special interest in lameness and poor performance workups and is working towards her membership of the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology.

While she has always worked behind the scenes and some of you may have seen Lili on the odd locum consult, in 2024 Lili permanently joined the veterinary team.
